A quick visit to see Nana

We all (Mum, Krys, MJ and I) piled in the car yesterday morning and went to the coast to visit Nana at Dalmeny (nr Narooma). Our visit was long overdue since the last time we were there was when MJ was only 4 months old or something. It was good to see Nana again and she appreciated our visit.

We also popped by to visit my Aunt and Uncle who live in Kianga which is about 5 minutes further down the road. They have great ocean views across to Montague Island and they often do some whale spotting from their balcony. While we were there we saw a pod of whales off the shoreline and followed their progress for a few minutes. We then headed off back up the coast and I spotted a few more whales closer in so we pulled off the road and got out of the car and watched 3 or 4 more pods. Krys and I saw a couple breech - well, we saw the splash from what must have been a breeching whale. Quite spectacular. We will have to go out whale spotting on a boat one day.

We popped in for another visit with Nana and then headed home around 3.20.

MJ did very well - much better than we anticipated. He didn't get mid day sleep until 3 hours later than normal and even then only slept an hour and a half. We got back around 6pm. MJ didn't go to sleep finally that night until about 9.20.

Today we went to Civic and then Mum and Dad's this afternoon/evening for a yummy meal for Brian's birthday (belated) on their new BBQ. Delicious..

Krys has another midwife appointment tomorrow AM. I missed the last one cause I was in the States. Only four weeks to go...
