Mid January update and Happy Birthday Paw Paw!
Jessica continues to do well and seems to be growing very quickly. We are getting real smiles back from her now - at least I'M convinced its not just wind.
MJ has graduated from the baby room at the daycare centre he goes to and now attends the 'toddlers'. He had his first day last week and while there was some reluctance and tears at first, he seemed to have a whale of a time according to the staff when we picked him up. He particularly enjoys going outside and playing in the sand pit and on all of the equipment. We regret changing from two days of childcare to one since he seems to enjoy it so much and, to be honest Krysti enjoys the break. He is still not sleeping in his own real bed yet and continues to sleep in the cot but he is sleeping well through the night.
Next month, I am off to Tokyo for a two day workshop with work on the FCO Web Strategy for the next 5-7 years. I have never been to Japan and am looking forward to the trip. I'll be leaving on Monday 13 Feb and arriving back in Canberra the following Saturday 18 Feb. It's around a 11 hour trip each way, flying out via Sydney and Cairns on a 767 and back on a 747. I'm flying business which should be fun and on the way back have a seat upstairs in the 'bubble'.
Lani James and Jazz are coming down to Sydney (and then Canberra) for the Tang family reunion in Sydney on 11 Feb. Doreen who I stayed with in Washington will be coming and it will be good to catch up again as well as with all the others. Lani, James and Jazz are then coming down to Canberra afterwards to keep Krys company and to help out while I am in Japan.
It's MJs 2nd Birthday on 16 Feb (while I am in Japan! - really bad timing) so we are most likely going to have a party for him on the Saturday that I get back around lunch. Further details closer to the time.
Happy Birthday to Kim (Paw Paw) for today (Sat 14 Feb).
