Jessica Kate Connolly it is. Jessica is a name we have both like for a while and is the only name that we are both really happy with. MJ can almost say it too! (although he says Jessicicah).

Well, here is a very rare first family picture of the four of us. Taken on day one in a brief moment where MJ actually showed some interest in his new sister! Note how MJ is pulling his hand away so as to not get 'girls germs'.

We are back home now and glad to be out of the hospital. Krysti didn't end up having much sleep overnight since the woman in the bed next door snored very loudly and kept her up. She tried to fashion some ear plugs out of cotton wool and they were tossed to the ground when they proved ineffective. Hopefully she will sleep better this evening in a more familiar bed.

We are yet to confirm a name, although hopefully by this evening we will have made a decision. Tomorrow by the latest...hopefully!

A huge thank you to Lani for all her support during the labor and for looking after MJ and holding the fort while Krys and I were at the hospital. Big thanks also to Kim who responded to the call at 2.00am on Sunday morning! It was a great relief to know that MJ was in capable hands while we were taking care of our new little girl. Also a great many thanks to those of you who have given us gifts. We are really very grateful to all.

It's a girl!!

Well, after an eventful morning Baby Connolly #2 arrived at 7.18am Sunday 4 Decmber 2005. Weighing in at 3740grams (8lb 4oz in old money), 51cms long and head circumference of 33.5cm. Mum and baby doing well. Full details to follow. Baby as yet unnamed...
