Weekend

Just a quick one.

Congratulations to Jenna and Jay for today - their first Anniversary.

The Connolly family (just the four of us) went to Tidbinbilla today for the first time since the Canberra bushfires in '03. The visitor has been rebuilt in a different location. The animals are VERY thin on the ground. We saw a couple of Emu's on the way in and a few kangaroo's off in the distance. The kangaroo enclosure itself was closed, so we just went for a bit of a walk around the Wetlands. MJ enjoyed himself despite seeing less wildlife that any trip to Lake Ginninderra. Afterwards we had a picnic lunch out of the back of the car.

We headed back to Canberra via Tuggeranong, but first stopping in to Corin for a few goes on the bobsled thingo with MJ. We were a little uncertain about how he would handle it, but he had a ball and just wanted to keep going faster. He had four goes in all, but on a few of the runs I took him on we had to slow down toward the middle cause we were catching up with some slowpokes up front.

The new Intel Macs were released this week - very nice they are too! I'm hoping to get one of the new MacBook Pro's to replace my current work laptop - which is slowly becoming more and more unreliable, and possibly a new iMac for home (I'll hand my PC down to MJ)
